CLEAN, AFFORDABLE, RELIABLE, SAFE AND SUSTAINABLE ENERGY TO POWER NETWORKS

The United Kingdom has legislated and set the tightest legally-binding obligations in the world for emissions to enable clean, reliable, safe and sustainable energy to be delivered to its power networks. Project Quasar is amongst the first to offer the solution to align with these national goals.

Madhvani International Ltd. the UK affiliate of Madhvani International, S.A. (MISA) is the lead sponsor and investor of Project Quasar with a team of executives and partners with extensive experience in the nuclear industry and of large-scale civil engineering projects, who are committed to deliver clean, affordable, safe and sustainable base-load power to the UK’s super-grid.

Project Quasar is an environmentally friendly and a sustainable energy company offering a breadth of modern solutions to generate and deliver electricity safely.

Project Quasar

Delivering clean energy to the UK

Madhvani International Ltd. the UK affiliate of Madhvani International, S.A. is the lead sponsor of Project Quasar with a team of executives with extensive experience and skills in the nuclear industry, of large scale civil engineering projects and for arranging complex non-recourse project financing, who are committed to deliver clean, affordable, safe and sustainable base-load power to the UK’s power networks.

Pioneering power development

A major success for MISA was the inception and development, in 1993, of the 250MW Bujagali Falls HPP on the river Nile. This was Africa’s first private major hydro-power project which MISA initiated and then partnered with AES Corporation of Arlington Va. In 2001/2 at financial closure, the Nile Independent Power/AES Nile Power project was re-structured and handed over to the Ugandan Government, with pioneering and innovative construction and private financing arrangements for the planned investment of more US$640 million arranged by AES and MISA.

MISA offers global access to electricity with Project Quasar

With Project Quasar, MISA will showcase the immense potential that the advent of SMR/AMR technology opens for power generation for investors, developers and Governments worldwide to establish small and affordable power generation projects. SMR/AMR technology provides a long-term sustainable supply of clean, reliable and base-load electricity to power sectors.

In Africa and India, where MISA is developing some of these opportunities, and where more than 1 Billion people have no access to electricity, this represents opportunities to generate more than 200GWe, with a market for investment that is valued at more than £750 Billion.
